Ducks are the Cadillac of waterfowl, that's an indisputable fact. With that in mind, I probably shouldn't even have to compile a list of reasons for you to get in your car or call an Uber and adopt a duck right now. But seeing as you're still reading if you've made it this far, I guess I'll give you a few convincing reasons why your next pet is not going to be a cat or a dog or a beta fish, it will be a duck.

Reason 1:

The most important and only reason that should be on here: THEY'RE FUCKING ADORABLE! I mean come on, even once they're grown up they maintain the most majestic strut like they own the world. Their confidence in their beauty will inevitably lead to boosting your own confidence. Who wouldn't be proud to own such a beautiful, elegant, and graceful creature?

Reason 2:

They're awesome for your garden!! Seriously, they'll just waddle around and eat some bugs and graze on your grass. Forget your lawnmower, you're operating on duck power now!

Reason 3:

I mean, come on. Have you ever seen a duck play in water? Forget cable! You'll have hours upon hours of endless entertainment, not to mention plenty of content for your Snap story, when you add a lil' duck to a kiddy-pool!

Reason 4:

NOISE! Their quacks are so much cuter than the yapping of a dog or the purring of a cat. The ducks won't wake you up with their incessant chatter at all hours of the night, and if they do at least it's an adorable little quack.

Reason 5:

Minimal mess!! Because they love the outdoors, their pens can only get so dirty. They won't shed nearly as much as a dog, or track kitty litter around everywhere like a cat. Also, they don't smell ANYWHERE as bad as cats do

Bottom line, ducks are the best animals in the world and everyone should run right now to your local pet shelter and inquire about the availability of a duck. You'll thank me later.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
