Despite whatever our relationships are like with our moms, we owe a lot to those ladies. Moms, aunts, grandmas, step-moms, whoever you view as the woman who helped raise you, she is amazing.
It takes a lot to raise a child. But somehow, whoever your mother figure is, did it and did it well! Look at you now! She did an amazing job!
Moms are the ones who are here for everything. Every heartbreak, every sports victory, every failed test, everything. She is the one who is there when you need cheering up or just for a laugh.
I am extremely close with my mom. We talk every day and share a lot of our thoughts together. I don't know what I would ever do without her! The older I get, the more I have come to appreciate her.

My mom always seems to know what to say. Far too often, she has given me advice, I haven't taken it, and then it turns out her advice would have been PERFECT to follow. World's most frustrating thing ever! But who is always there to help me pick up the pieces and make me feel better even though I didn't listen to her advice? My mom.
Even though they can be annoying when given unsolicited advice at times, and it is always frustrating when you do have to hear the "I told you so," moms always have our best interests at heart. They want to look out for us and will always care for us no matter what.
This is just a small example of our mom's having our backs. How many runny noses and bruised knees did our moms help us take care of over the years? It seems like whenever I am sick or don't feel well if I just had my mom to take care of me, half the pain would go away. Moms have some sort of magical voodoo way of caring for us and making us feel better instantly!
While there are countless other ways that our moms have helped us get through the hardships, challenges (and success!) of life, we really owe it all to her for helping us blossom into the people we are today. No matter the relationship you have with your mom, she impacted who you are in some way. How amazing is that!
Give your mom a call, thank her for all she does for you, and tell her how much you love her. Even if you don't get to see her often, chances are she thinks of you all the time and misses you! Make her day and let her know how much she means to you!
