"Hi everyone, and welcome to 'The Speed Dating Show' with your host, Dawn Fraiser!"

"Hi everyone and welcome to the show! So today, we are going to watch if Chelsea, today's contestant, can find 'The One' through speed dating. Out of the hundreds of men that applied to our show to find love, we found a great three ones that Chelsea is sure to love! Now, without further ado, let's bring out Chelsea" Dawn said enthusiastically.

"Hi everyone, thanks for having me on the show. My name is Chelsea, I'm from New York, NY, I am a Community Organizer, and I like running, Netflix, cooking, and eating right" Chelsea stated.

"Wow that's interesting! Ok, so here are Chelsea's three potential beaus. We have Chad, Marco, and Ben. You guys can come out" Dawn announced.

The three men walked out to the stage, and Chad sat at the table in the middle. Chelsea sat across from Chad at this table.

"Ok, so you guys have 90 seconds to get to know each other, and after that, Chelsea will move onto Marco, then Ben. Ok, 3-2-1, go!" Dawn stated.

"Hi Chelsea! I'm Chad, I am also from New York, and I love cooking too! One of my favorite memories as a child was cooking with my mother; that's where I learned how to cook, and why I still love it today!" Chad explained.

"That's adorable Chad! That would actually be great since I am not good at cooking AT ALL lol! Now I wanted to ask, so do you think that Trump is going to be impeached?" Chelsea asked.

"I hope not! I actually agree with what he is doing, and he should not be impeached for doing his job at all. But those are just my political views-" Chad replied.

"Ok, thank you very much Chad. You seen like a nice person, but I can't date a person who actually agrees with what Trump is doing, next!" Chelsea said.

Chad left, and the liberal audience was stunned, but they understood.

"Ok, next we have Marco!" Dawn announced.

"Hi Chelsea, I'm Marco, and I actually work in the TV and film industry!" Marco stated.

"Wow, that's cool! What do you do?" Chelsea asked.

"I am a producer for a company in New York, and I love it!" Marco said.

"That's amazing! What's your favorite show?" Chelsea asked.

"It would have to be Lost. Yours?"

"Lol same here! Now, I have an important question, where do you stand on healthcare?"

" I believe in the right for universal health care, but also think people should have the right to choose between private and public"

"Ok, thanks Marco, bye"

Marco left the table very disappointed.

The crowd, was shocked.

"Ok everyone, lastly, we have Ben"

"Hi I'm Ben, and I live in Albany, NY. I like the outdoors, as well as painting" Ben said quietly.

"Oh ok, that's cool. So, uhm, what is your view on Climate Change?" Chelsea asked.

"It's terrible and we all need to work together to stop it" Ben said.

"Yeah, same. What about health care?"

"I think that everyone should be under a national health care program"

"And what about Trump impeachment?"

"He's definitely going to be impeached"

"Ok, cool"

"Yeah, that's me"

"Ok"

"Yeah"

"So"

"Yeah"

"Ok Chelsea, so since you already disqualified the other contestants, are you going to choose Ben? I mean he does agree with all of your political points" Dawn asked.

"I am glad he does, but I would have to say no, we just don't have anything in common" Chelsea replied, "I mean except for our political beliefs".

"And that ends our show, thank you so much everyone for watching, and we hope you have a great day! Chelsea, good luck with finding the love of your life! Good night!"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
