Throughout my twenty years of life, I've discovered that I will continue to learn every day for the rest of my life. One of the most important pieces of information that I have taken away from life thus far is that we should all just put our trust in the universe. Now you may be thinking that sounds crazy, right? Well, let me explain.
I believe in fate.
I believe that some things are more than just a mere coincidence. I believe that every single person who enters our lives and every decision we made had a purpose. Have you ever had a situation where you forgot to set your alarm and was late for work or class? Or have you ever mixed up your times, dates or schedules? Have you ever thought that maybe that's what was supposed to happen? For example, Seth MacFarlane, known for his writing, producing and directing, was scheduled to be on the first plane that was crashed into the Twin Towers on 9/11, but because of a time mix up with his agent, he missed his flight by just a few minutes. The flight attendant told him it was too late for him to board so he would have to wait for the next flight to reach his destination; however, this little mix up actually saved his life. Maybe these kinds of little mishaps happen for a reason.
There's this saying that "everything happens for a reason," and it's so true. Everything you've done has led you to where you are now. Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever thought that if you chose the other option in a dilemma, that your life might be completely different? Crazy, right?
The universe had your back.
There are certain places that we need to be and certain times we need to be there, and it'll happen how it's supposed to. Every person you have met had a purpose in your life. Yes, all those boys that hurt you and all those friends that betrayed you had a purpose. Their purpose was to teach you a lesson and to better yourself for wherever life took you next.
Personally, I believe in this little thing called karma. I believe there's good karma and bad. I know this sounds very superstitious, but I believe in it. I believe that if I do something I know is wrong, the universe will give me karma as my punishment. Remember when you were a kid and you did something you weren't supposed to, so your parents would put you in time out or take away your toys? Same concept, except this time it's something much bigger than us.
I guess what I'm saying is that we should just embrace everything that happens to us. Yeah, life is a struggle, but you'll end up where you're supposed to end up. There is a plan for each of us and it will work out in the way it was intended to. We all make mistakes so sometimes we'll have that bad karma or we'll get hurt, but there's always going to be a reason for it. I have learned first hand that just because it seems bad now doesn't mean there isn't a bigger plan in play here. The universe knows what it's doing.
