If you haven’t heard, Pi Phi at Texas A&M is having their spring philanthropy event, Dodge the Arrow, on March 5th and you should be there. What’s Dodge the Arrow, you might ask?
It’s a dodgeball tournament
If you have 8-10 friends, you should sign up for the best dodgeball tournament you will ever be a part of. Guys and girls will be in separate brackets, and each team is guaranteed a minimum of two games with their registration fee. So, hurry and choose your most athletic friends and get ready to bring your A-game!
It benefits the Barbara Bush Parent Center and First Book
The Barbara Bush Parent Center is Pi Phi’s local philanthropy in College Station. English as a second language classes are offered weekly for people to come and learn how to read and speak English. What’s cooler than helping parents better their families’ futures? First Book and Pi Phi partner together to give kids from low-income families their very own first book!
You get lunch and a cool t-shirt
Everyone always wants more t-shirts in college, and you’ll get an awesome one if you sign up for Dodge the Arrow. Also, you’ll have one less weekend meal to worry about because lunch will be provided on the day of the tournament!
There will be fun prizes, face painting, and a DJ
If you don’t make it all the way to the championship round, have no fear! There’s always the option of having a dance party, getting something rad painted on your face, or just chilling with your fave Pi Phis! But, if you do end up winning the tournament, the grand prize is a month-long membership to Innovative Fitness!
So, if you’re still not convinced, at least, come out for the potential appearance of an A-list celebrity.
