Most people have heard of the TV show, "Big Brother," but have little knowledge about the actual show itself. Basically, it consists of 16 houseguests to start the summer, and slowly dwindles down each week by a live eviction. Each week consists of a few different competitions and a whole lot of drama, as well as interesting twists each season. Here is a look into this drama-filled season so far.

Within the first week of this summer, three "showmances" had formed, causing instant alliances to shake up the game. This has been a big thing this summer because there is typically only one or two showmances, but with three and three alliances, this causes a big target on their backs.

This summer's big twist started at the beginning, with a special 17th houseguest - the veteran, Paul. This shook up the house in a number of ways because he already has knowledge about the house and game itself which has been helping him throughout the game.

Another big twist, is the Den of Temptation, which has been a new addition this summer. Each houseguest in invited into the Den, and based on who America voted for, they are offered the Temptation which has been different each week. If that houseguest accepts the Temptation, then a curse is released on the house. This stirred up the house through various competitions and powers that the houseguests received.

Based on these big twists, and alliances to begin, the competitions each week have been crucial. To start the week, the Head of Household competition is held. This competition allows one houseguest, the winner, to be safe from eviction for the week, nominate two people to be put on the block, and automatically compete in the Power of Veto competition. And not to mention, they get to move into the private, HOH bedroom upstairs while they are in this power.

Another big competition that has been a big factor in this season, is the Power of Veto. This gives anyone the chance to veto one of the nominees on the block to be replaced with a new nominee. This is a crucial competition because it can really shake up who is sent home at the end of the week.

One of the best parts of the show is the Diary Room. This is a place where houseguests are able to sit and narrate what is happening in the game. This is also the place where they go to cast their vote for eviction. This is one of the most entertaining parts of the show because you get to hear the true thoughts of the players.

The biggest targets this summer has by far been one of the showmances, Jessica and Cody. The two connected right away in the house and started as a hand in a big ally with other houseguests. After Cody turned on some of the other houseguests within the first week, the rest of the houseguests grew to dislike him, which made Jessica a big target as well. Cody ended up being evicted early in the game but won his way back into the house.

Last week, Jessica was evicted from the house, leaving Cody to fend for himself with the rest of the houseguests. Other houseguests are starting to become targets since their other targets are starting to dwindle. With the season about half over, it will be exciting to see who makes it to the end.

Each season is something new, and exciting to meet the houseguests because they are all so different from one another. Who will make the Jury house? Who will become the next HOH? And who will make it to the end winning them $500,000? Watch the rest of the season to find out!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
