These days everyone is makeup obsessed. You can open up YouTube and see about a million makeup related videos. This generation is very beauty oriented. With so many girls caking on faces of makeup I think it is important to understand that women wear makeup because we want to. As much as I love being glam there are just as many days that I walk around without makeup on. I think even though this generation is so obsessed with the cosmetic industry they do it for themselves.

There are so many beauty gurus to look up to these days that I think it has opened up girls self confidence about not wearing makeup. These people have millions of followers and will get on Snapchat almost every day without makeup on. That just shows that you do not need to have makeup to present yourself to the world. I think this has really allowed so many more people to be confident in not wearing makeup every time they leave their house.

I think is also important to note that I think the reason people are wearing makeup has also changed. It was once that people wore makeup every time they walked out of the house because they did not feel pretty without it on. I think our generation is shifting away from that mindset. People are now wearing makeup because they want to and because they love the artistic creativity it gives them. It has turned into a creative outlet. People create some of the most amazing looks and then can post them on the interest and get tons of love and support for their look. It has turned into a supportive community with tons of positive feedback. People love wearing makeup and looking pretty but now they do it for themselves and not for others.
