The Odyssey is the voice of our generation. The millenial generation is full of wide-eyed individuals that bring a lightness to the sometimes scary world that we live in. Optimistic, striving for a great future and change, the millennial generation wants the rest of the world to see what they are fully capable of.

I believe it is important to have a safe space to reflect on what is happening in the world or even what is happening within ourselves. The Odyssey provides that safe place. There is so much stress put on the people of our generation and often times we are viewed negatively. We were born into this world of technology, so we may as well take advantage of what it can do for us.

YOU have a voice and your voice needs to be acknowledged. If you don't use your voice then you won't make the impact or change that you would like to see in the world.

Not only does The Odyssey provide a safe place for people to express themselves, it also helps people to know that they are not alone in their thoughts. I have always been one to overanalyze just about every aspect of my life. I even overanalyze about overanalyzing. To come onto The Odyssey and to see other people that view life in a similar way that i do, brings great relief.

Many young people are often seeking advice from and are influenced by their peers. My personal goal is to have an influence and to change the perspective's of like-minded individuals. The Odyssey has helped me see that I am not alone and I hope to do the same for others.

Think about it, how amazing is it that we have the capability to make a different or change one person's perspective without even having to know that individual? If I can have an impact on at least one person's life through my writing, then the time and effort put into this community will be worth it.
