If you haven't listened to a podcast by now... where have you been? This form of entertainment has really taken off over the last decade and especially in the last few years. It seems like every talk show host, YouTuber, and actor is starting their own podcast right now, and there is a show for every subject under the sun. Here are the top five reasons why you should try it out if you haven't already taken the leap:

1. It gives your eyes a break.

If you're anything like me, you have a headache by the end of every day from all the time spent staring at your phone screen. When you just want to relax and watch a tv show or read a book, your eyes are too strained and tired to focus on anything at all. Instead, you can just turn on a podcast and get some much needed shut-eye while still being entertained.

2. You can learn something new.

Whether you're catching up on the news, discovering new details of a murder mystery or elaborate conspiracy, or listening to experts in various fields share their wealth of knowledge, there is always something new out there if you're willing to give it a shot.

3. They're perfect for multitasking.

If you have too many mindless tasks filling up your to-do list for a Netflix break, try a podcast instead. Fold the laundry, hit the gym, grab groceries, take a walk, or just drive to work while laughing or learning (with literally millions of options out there, it's your choice). It's not too distracting like a show would be, although I wouldn't recommend it while studying.

4. It makes you seem smarter.

I'll let you in on a little secret: talking about your favorite podcast makes you feel a little bit classier than dishing about the last show you binged on Hulu, even if the podcast was just updating you on the latest and greatest celebrity Instagram comments (a real thing that exists, by the way).

5. Podcasts are just a really fun way to spend your time.

No matter what you are interested in, there's a podcast out there for you! I have a handful I listen to on a regular basis and a dozen I listen to on occasion, which has been a great balance for me, but you can really listen to as many or as few as you like. I even wrote a few college essays about podcasts — that's how awesome they truly are.

So if you have been on the fence about diving into the world of podcasts, this is your sign to give it a go! I guarantee you won't regret it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
