Resale stores are taking over everywhere. Plato’s Closest, Uptown Cheapskate, Clothes Mentor and many more are popping up all over the country and are becoming more and more popular. It makes sense why, of course. You can get money for your clothes if you bring them in and you can find amazing things for super cheap. Why would anyone not like that? You can pretty much change your entire wardrobe in one day. I do not know about everyone else, but that idea seems insanely appealing to me. So why are resale shops so awesome, do you ask? Here is why.
You can get money for clothes that you do not wear anymore.
As long as there are not stains and holes and who knows what else on your clothes, you are set. Of course they also have to be in style, but that is the less difficult criteria.
There is so much to look at.
We can all spend hours on hours shopping, but shopping in one store? Probably not. At resale stores there is so much to look at and so many different things that you will never get bored. You will spend hours trying things on and will just keep finding more and more clothes and accessories that you will lose half of your day in a single store.
The items for sale are constantly changing.
With so many things going in and out of the store, there is a completely new inventory at least every month. Resale stores change daily in at least a few ways. Imagine what a difference there would be on the first and last days of a month.
THE PRICES!
Resale stores generally price at about 70 percent of retail. That is 70 percent off of (usually) overly priced items. Any time there is a sale, I am so down to shop. Resale stores are like sales every single day. Then, as items sit there longer, they get marked down even more. I mean, who does not like cheap, super cute clothes?
Look at it this way, the only downside is actually looking through all of the clothes. And honestly, is that really a downside?
