In life, many opportunities come your way, some you take and some you sacrifice. In my case, I sacrificed going abroad for a semester for many different reasons, being other things going on in life as well as money being a factor because traveling can be expensive.

There are many things a regret about not going abroad but I did not even realize how much I cared until my opportunity had passed, and now I'm heading into my senior year of college and I missed my chance to go abroad. Most people go abroad their sophomore or junior year, but after that, it is almost impossible to go abroad with balancing all the work and things you have to do to get ready for your future after school.

One reason why I regret not taking the chance to go abroad is for the experience. Not going abroad, you miss out on learning about a culture completely different from what you've always known. Different places in the world act so differently than where you're from and a culture shock is good for you. Learning how other people in the world live allows you to appreciate how you life or widen your horizon for how you want to live and how you want you life to be life.

Another reason I regret not going abroad is to travel and see different places in the world that I have never experienced. Going abroad, for some people, is a once in a life time chance to travel because a lot of people can't always afford it, and then once school is over you get busy with life and work and other journeys life might take you on, so I regret not traveling with the chances that I was given.

Also, by going abroad you meet new people with different views on situations and life, and you make connections with people. Making connections is always good because it opens your options up for improvement and new chances and opportunities you might not have gotten unless you went abroad. Making connections internationally could open up job options for you as well if you chose to some day move to another country. Most people also meet people and make friends who they keep in touch with for a lifetime. Therefore, by not going abroad I regret missing out on the opportunity to meet new and incredible people

Lastly, I regret not taking the opportunity to grow as a person and change. Change is good and putting yourself into a new scenery it can allow you to change and view the world in a different way. Being in new places can allow you to grow as a person and to find your true self. I regret missing out on all these incredible opportunities that I could have had if I took the chance.

All in all, my advice is to take new and scary opportunities in life that come your way because in the end it could be the best thing you have ever done in your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
