When summer break first began, I was excited to get away with from Ball State. All I could think of was no homework, tests, professors, or papers. Sure, I'd be working, but it was a much-needed break. Yeah, it only took about three weeks for me to want to go back to my beloved college.

With five weeks until my return to Ball State, I thought I'd talk about why I'm so happy to be starting my sophomore year.

First, there are my classes. Yes, I'm actually excited for the school part of it. Though I'm taking 17 credit hours this fall semester, I'm finally starting to get into my major courses. I took general journalism classes freshman year that were mandatory. Now, I'll be taking classes geared towards public relations work, which I'm excited to explore. I've also taken a few classes to help me possibly narrow down a minor. It'll be a lot of work, but I'm looking forward to it.

What is college without my friends? I had fun during summer, but I haven't gotten to see a whole lot of my college friends. I can't wait to see everyone and catch up on their summers and start our college adventures back up. It'll be nice seeing everyone and having them all super close to hang out with.

With the start of school, it also means that my clubs/activities are starting back up. I can't wait to get back on the Quidditch pitch and play with my teammates again as we prepare for the upcoming season. I'll be working with clients for Cardinal Communications. On top of those two, I'm an apprentice board member for a student acting company, Busted Space, and I'm hoping to get more involved in BSU Byte.

I've also promised myself I'm actually going to go to more events this year. I wasn't able to make it to a single sports game, so I'm looking forward to doing that. I want to go to events hosted by residence hall and be more open to trying more things around college.

All this plus more has me pumped to get back to school. Lucky enough I get to move back in August 12th. So, Ball State see you in less than a month. I'll be ready to start my next chapter with you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
