Your dad's a Republican, so you're a Republican.
Your family votes Democrat, so you vote Democrat.
Facebook says this,
but Twitter says that.
CNN is the way to go, but FoxNews is real news.
So many options, and so much division.
Vote this because I heard from someone who heard from someone, who heard from someone else...
Obama is the Anti-Christ,
Trump is going to save America,
There are so many opinions.
And everyone holds true to their own party, and their parties beliefs that they can't even consider an in between.
If you're religious you're a Republican.
If you let "terrorists" in the country you're a Democrat.
We get our news mostly from the words of other people, that they hold to be the Gospel truth.
And then what happens if we don't take the time to really look things up, and check our facts? All because we foolishly take their word for it.
And you wonder why so many people don't vote.
Because we are sick of it.
And it's not just people or our family members that create this bias, but advertisements as well.
Every poster, every article, every commercial has some sort of bias, that attempts to subtly hint in a particular direction.
Getting their audience to think a certain way, or believe a certain thing.
There are still people who don't know Hawaii is a State, so you better believe I'm not getting political advice from them.
Just as I won't be getting political advice from the people who believe all refugees are ISIS.
CNN says Trump sucks, and Fox News says he's Making American Great Again.
We then grow to be so confused, we genuinely just don't know anymore.
So we quit.
We block the calls, turn the channel, mock the excessive amount of "Go Vote," or "Sign up to Vote," posts because it's pushy.
Why not tell us the importance of voting, stress the "why" and talk about the importance rather than getting people to blindly vote because at least they "voted."
Don't tell me your opinion, give me the facts.
And not the Facebook ones, because those aren't even facts.
Let's hear more on who we are voting for, let's hear more about their policies and ideas for our Country.
If there is going to be an excessive amount of advertisements and pushy commercials, let's make this more educational.
I wanna hear about how there was a time when minorities and women couldn't vote, and that voting is actually a privilege, not some "American duty."
Great you made voting easily accessible, and are using technology to help aid people in the voting process, but it's so much more than just checking off a box.
These people have responsibilities and their own opinions, and ways of going about things.
Tell us that FoxNews,
And tells us that CNN,
because I've already registered to vote about five times, and I think I'm good now.
