Why No One Should Watch the Presidential Debates

I adamantly refused to watch the presidential debate last night, despite my mom watching alone, just a room over. Today, she's in a terrible mood, as is everyone on my Twitter feed and everyone on Facebook. So, my question is why do they do that themselves? Why do they hurt themselves like this when they already know for whom they're going to vote? It's stupid. It gets them more mad, more stressed, and way less happy.

Now, if someone does not know whom their vote is going to, you may think that they should watch the debate, but I still disagree. The candidates have platforms, and websites, and there are so many resources that let someone learn about the candidates. SO why not use those? All any debate is is candidates loudly talking over one another and making stupid quips at the other. It's mean and not a helpful way to decide the fate of our country. If I wanted to watch people be mean and dumb all at once, I'd go into a middle school, not watch well-educated old men fight like they're in one.

That being said, if other people didn't watch the presidential debates for me, I'd miss out on a lot of funny social media posts. So I guess there's a small silver lining if, even after reading this and seeing last night's apparent train-wreck, you still insist on watching the next debate.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
