Why Nick Jonas Is The Best Jonas

Why Nick Jonas Is The Best Jonas

Admit it. You have always had a favorite Jonas Brother. Whether you loved the cute, romantic one (Kevin), the cute, funny one (Joe) or the cute, sensitive one (Nick), Hannah Montana made all the difference in your fandom and, let's be honest, where you bought your concert tickets. We all know full well that Nick was always on the left, Joe in the middle, and Kevin on the right; and we would buy our seats accordingly. Well now that our three cord strand is no more, we can cheer on my favorite as he's "Burning Up" the charts.

He has appeared on Broadway and London's East End. Nick actually got his start in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway as Chip, and later went on to play Marius in Les Miserables in London in 2010. Then, in 2012 ,he was the lead in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway. Make sure you spend some time in the depths of YouTube to get a feel for just how talented he is, both as a pop and R&B artist, and as a musical theatre pro.

He is insanely musically talented. He famously wrote the Jonas Brothers' hit “S.O.S" in less than 10 minutes. Plus, he has some phenomenal songwriting credits for other artists such as Ariana Grande and Zendaya. It is well known that he directed band practice at JB rehearsals, and when he had his first solo stint, pop icon Prince let Nick play with The New Power Generation as Nick's "Administration." Plu,s Nick J. knows we could all use a little gospel.

He is super talented behind the scenes. Nick was both musical and creative director of Demi Lovato's last tour. They have been pals since their Camp Rock days, when they would write songs for each other's albums.

He's presidential. Nick is a member of National Youth Leadership Committee, and often speaks of his dream of being President of the United States. His nicknames used to be Mr. President (get it -- Nick Jonas and The Administration?)

He's philanthropic. Nick has type 1 diabetes and has testified before the U.S. Senate to advocate for more research funding for diabetes. He has also worked with dosomething.org, not to mention his family founded the Change for the Children Foundation!

He's an actor. Nick starred with his brothers in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2 as well as their shows JONAS and Jonas L.A, but did you know he's on another show called Kingdom? It's about MMA fighters and it's why Nick is so buff. I'm also leaving this image full size so you can appreciate it.

He raps. (Throwback video). If you're reading the print edition, Google "Nick J. Is Off The Chain."

He's coming to Auburn, and it's free! See y'all at Auburn Airwaves on A-Day! Nick Jonas and Auburn football? April 18 will be literal perfection.

Christmas Tree
History.com

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
