ABC Family's hit TV show, "Pretty Little Liars" has drawn the attention of viewers everywhere. It has cliffhangers that fans hate, but keep drawing them back. It has exciting and unexpected reveals that entertain fans. "Pretty Little Liars" follows a group of high school girls and the events that happen to them. While this show seems normal to begin with, viewers soon realize its anything but that. This group of girls has a mysterious stalker that makes their lives a living hell. Their stalker knows all of their secrets and threatens to reveal them at every turn. While the girls are dealing with their stalker, they are still trying to come to terms with the mysterious disappearance of one of their best friends.
From what I have already written, you can probably understand why mothers shouldn't watch "Pretty Little Liars." Your mom would be worried about your own high school experience. She would probably wonder if everyone at school was treating you alright. It is hard for mothers now to understand what schools are like. This is not because how long it has been since they attended. When they went to school, they still had drama. The only difference is their drama couldn't be magnified with technology. When they attended high school, they did not have the type of access to technology that students do now. With constant access to the Internet on their smartphones, it is a surprise to them that students learn anything in classes now.
"Pretty Little Liars" is their worst nightmare about what happens at school because of technology. They know how petty teenage girls are, and they also know how they take everything personally. Mothers know that teenage girls feel like it is the end of the world when something goes wrong in high school. With access to technology and a distraught teenage girl, there is little that they can not do. That's what worries mothers the most. What if their daughter does something that will affect her future permanently, just because of some high school drama?
"Pretty Little Liars" is the overdramatized version of how adults view high school, now. Drama, tears, more drama, fights, and dating. To make it worse, they added murder and stalking to the mix. If you ever want to be able to leave your house unsupervised again, it is highly recommended to never let your mom watch this show. With the new episodes about to be released, you might want to make your mom think that ABC Family was canceled, not just changing its name.
