Although we are living in a technological and scientific era, in which we don’t have time, we go to work, go to the gym, go shopping, whatever you are doing you are always busy doing something!

Your life depends on your phone and on your tablet and you have less time to confront yourself with other people but you find time to stay on Facebook. The modern age is characterized by the absolute domination of technology. We have cell phones, television, radio, computers, all we need to make life easier and comfortable, this technology helps us to be informed, and drastically reduces times of communication.

Why aren't the most valuable things so important as they once were?? Are we losing the most important things in life?

Man is always becoming colder and colder, rational, linked more to scientific methods than to emotions and feelings.

That’s why I think poetry saved and saves many people.

Man needs poetry, imagination, and art, great things that allow him to go beyond his daily routine but to get into a fantastic and irrational world. In this way of living, where can poetry, the art that expresses communication through melodies, words, and sounds, be set? In reality, poetry never dies. Poetry links language and thoughts, it’s a universal language, the only universal kind of communication among people.

We need to read poetry, or to make poetry… It’s important for our future!

We need to escape life, the ordinary things we do each day by reading a poem, it gives you a sense of tranquillity and peace and reveals something that goes beyond your imagination. Each of us reading the same poem, can think and imagine different things, we all have different emotions and feelings. Each of us gives a different meaning to it, it depends on our point of view, on our personalities, on the feelings we are having in that particular moment that we’re reading that poem.

William Ernest Henley's important verses from Invictus:

“I am the master of my fate,

I am the captain of my soul.”

Poetry is inspirational, many poems are important because they try to inspire other people, that’s why they are famous. Some poems give a person the strength to reach a goal, follow a dream, overcome a problem or it just teaches something more that you didn’t know before. It lets you be in a better mood, lets you do something you didn’t have the courage to do, it inspires you, it can give you a positive or negative feeling, you become wiser, you can see things in different perspectives, it reveals something that will change you somehow and you can become a better person. The words can reach the soul, can reach your heart and can motivate people too. These noble and inspiring words create inspirational poems that touch people with a positive message.

“You have a gift to give. Don’t let it die inside you, let it out.

If you’re a musician play the music, if you’re an artist let that painting out,

if you’re a poet write that sonnet. The world needs this.”

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
