Why I Love Traveling Alone
Stocksnap

The first time I ever flew by myself was in 2007. I was 10 years old and I was flying alone from Frankfurt, Germany, back to the United States. Ever since that trip, I have always admired and enjoyed traveling alone. Just to note, I have traveled many times with friends and family, and I enjoy that too; it’s just that when you are on your own, it’s just a totally different experience.

I have always longed to travel on my own ever since that trip 10 years ago. In order to really venture out on your own, it helps if you are at least 18 years old. You can go on a road trip when you’re a little younger, but not unless you plan on camping or sleeping in your car – you won’t be able to check into a hotel or motel on your own most likely. It’s also a little safer if you avoid traveling too far on your own if you’re younger than 18.

I think that between ages 18-24 is the best times to really be able to travel and explore. At this point in time, you have fewer commitments than you do when you’re in your late 20s and early 30s. When you’re older, you’ll most likely have more money and resources to be able to go greater distances than you can now, but sometimes time, kids and full-time careers get in the way of travel. This is why I have fully embraced this time of my life to travel whenever I’ve got the time and money to do it.

While travel is a big component of my article this week, there is also another aspect to it. I think what’s most important is doing things that make you happy. I love to go different places and see things I haven’t seen before. I love traveling to different cities across the country that I have only ever seen on TV. I love the journey that travel takes you on; and the lessons and things you experience along the way. My passion for travel encourages me to want to work hard so I can save up my money for future adventures. Finding what you love and finding your passion make you want to work harder.

Traveling alone is truly a love of mine. Whether it’s going on an airplane or on a road trip, I love seeing the beautiful sights of this country. I enjoy the independence of going places on your own and reminiscing about my life and my dreams.

There is truly something beautiful when it comes to traveling. Whether you prefer to journey with friends or on your own, I’d truly encourage you to escape your everyday surroundings and see the country and the world whenever possible.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
