In the early 2000’s, a television show called “Jersey Shore” debuted for the first time. For many people not from the East Coast, the premise of the show seemed ridiculous. But for those of us who have actually been to the New Jersey beaches, it all totally made sense. Sure, the fights, excessive drinking and overall tone of the show was constant chaos. However, now that I am in my twenties, a lot of the actions of the cast members makes total sense. Here’s why…

1. When the Uber arrives for your night out and everyone is running around, still getting ready.

2. When you see the guy you had been texting for weeks at the bar with someone else.

3. When your friends insist on going to IHOP the morning after drinking.

4. When you get pulled over for the first time or get your first citation from a cop.

5. When your friends try and convince you to break up with your loser boyfriend and you don't want to hear it.

6. When every small thing you do turns into a photo shoot for Instagram.

7. Dealing with that one friend who always gets the giggles when they are drunk.

8. Finding out that they closed the kitchen at 10pm and its 10:15pm

9. When you and your friends think it's a good idea to dress the same for a night out.

10. You've become so comfortable with your friends that you can talk about anything.

11. When that one friend gets way too loud and annoying after their third shot.

12. You inevitably start drunk crying over your ex.

13. But then you realize you are better off being an independent woman.

14. Whenever you get in the car with your friends.

15. And when you realize you don't have plans on a Saturday night...

16. But you are perfectly okay with it because you are actually tired at 10pm.
