Have you even been in an avid readers room and just wondered about their obsessive hoarding of books? Don't worry, we all question it, even the ones doing it. Most likely there are books on the floor, on the bookshelf, on the nightstand, probably one in the bed, and, no doubt about it, one next to the bathtub.

Sure, it probably gets annoying that even though there are hundreds of books and literally no more space for them, we are still capable of spending hundreds of dollars on more books. We can never have enough books, ever. There’s always either a sequel, which if there is a sequel you can’t get rid of the other books in the series, or there’s another book by your favorite author. Before you ask, yes we do need every book by our favorite author, they are our favorite for a reason. Oh, and no, kindles are not the same, and chances are we still have even more books on the kindle too. Every reader goes through the kindle phase for its convenience, but goes back to real books for the feel and smell of a real book, which could never compare. Sometimes some books are just too beautiful not to have in your collection.

Each book that an avid reader reads is special. It doesn't even matter if they really liked it or not. After reading a book a special bond with it is created. Sure the book may not have been the best, and we may have even complained endlessly about a certain character or plot twist, but it's still special. Each book is another world in itself. Reading isn’t only a way to pass time, but it transports you into the characters world and head. Their thoughts and fears become yours while reading.

So, yeah, we do need to keep every book we read, even the ones we haven’t yet, it’s our life’s library. For those of who you understood that reference, good for you, and for the others, you’re missing out on a fantastic book that I will never throw out.
