After reading the title to this article, you're probably thinking to yourself, "Oh, you're one of those crazy Christians that are way too extra for Jesus." And you know what, I am. I am proud to raise my hands in church and to bounce around like I don't have any other care in the world. As my pastor always says, I worship to the level of my revelation.
However, I have not always been like this. I used to think those kinds of Christians were weird. Never in a million years would I have seen myself being one of those people. And honestly, I am so happy I did. I am so happy I become one of those weird Christians.
There is just some kind of peace that comes when you reach that sort of deeper connection with God. All of the hairs on your body stand up on end because you just become so on fire for your worship. What makes it even better is seeing all the people around you with that exact same fire in their hearts for the same revelation you feel in your very soul.
So, the next time you attend church or even jam in your car to some good Bethel music, think about how this works in your spiritual life. I'm not saying you need to raise your hands all the way up in the air, but just to start small. Learn to feel it in your soul first. This can be with traditional organ music or full out contemporary worship concerts. Feel it in your soul, and feel the Holy Spirit move through you. Worship to the level of your revelation.
