It seems like it was forever ago when I was blasting Eighteen Cool while trying to study for my permit test. Now my favorite artist since I was 15 is becoming a huge up and coming artist. Hoodie Allen started out in 2009 with releasing a few mixtapes that were popular in the underground music scene. A few year later in 2012 he published his first official EP titled All-American following with a mixtape titled Crew Cuts in 2013 which featured a lot of his acoustic work. In 2014 Hoodie Allen officially debuted his studio album titled People Keep Talking which had huge success with being number eight on the Billboard 200 charts.

So if you don't know who Hoodie Allen is you should. Hoodie Allen grew up in Long Island where he started writing music and rapping at house parties. He went on to attend The University of Pennsylvania where he pledged the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and played defense end for Penn's spirit football team. After he graduated with a degree in marketing and finances he went on to work for Googleplex in Mountain View where he was balancing a full-time job while also trying to be a musician

Hoodie Allen has come a long way from singing at house parties. His album Crew Cuts featured rappers Chiddy Bang and G-Eazy and on his album People Keep Talking, Ed Sheeren and Tommy Lee were featured.He has been doing endless concerts on college campuses and even touring in Europe. Earlier this year Hoodie Allen was a special guest on the Boys of Zummer Tour with Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa.

What's next for an artist that has had such much growth in the past few in years? In January of 2016, Hoodie will kick off his Australia and New Zealand tour. In February 2016, Hoodie Allen's Happy Camper Tour kicks off with special guests SUPERDUPERKYLE and BLACKBEAR where he will tour only in the United States.

As you can see I am kind of a big fan of Hoodie, but not only because I am a fan of his music. Hoodie Allen's personality is what makes him such a great artist. From endlessly replying back to fans on twitter {I literally freaked out when he replied to me} to doing everything he can to have meet and greets with his fans. I can't wait to see my favorite artist in March and to see all the great things he does in the music industry!
