Adrian Peterson is one of the few top-tier free agents left in the market who isn't signed yet. Just a few years ago Adrian Peterson was leading the league in rushing yards with over 2000 rushing yards and was said to be the best running back of his time and possibly of all time, and now he still isn't signed. This leaves many NFL fans wondering why Adrian Peterson hasn't been signed.
Running Backs have become expendable in the NFL as we have seen in this free agent market. Former All Pro Running Backs other than Adrian Peterson haven't been signed yet either. This seems to be one of the reasons why Adrian Peterson hasn't been signed yet.
Another reason why Adrian Peterson hasn't been signed yet is due to his declining production and injuries. This decline seems to be because of his age. It is known that once you get older, your athletic ability tends to decline greatly. Peterson is on the wrong side of 30 and many teams just don't want to pay big money to players who are much slower and weaker than when they were in their prime. In a sport like football where injuries are very common and due to these injuries players get much slower, the NFL teams are always looking for younger players with fresh legs to play. Being 32 Adrian is older than many players and teams feel like younger players can do a better job than older players like Peterson.
To all my NFL fans, the main reason I believe that Adrian Peterson isn't signed yet is due to NFL teams believing that they will get more production with younger players and that these younger players are cheaper as ESPN reported that Peterson want a contract with the value of 32 Million Dollars.
