6 Reasons Why FSU Is The Best School In The Universe
Bob Ferrante

Florida State University is hands-down the best university in all of America. There are so many reasons as to why FSU is the best, from the people, to the school, to the nightlife, I cannot think of anything that I dislike about FSU. If you are a student at FSU you know certain things to be true that people who don't go here will not understand or will only relate to on a minimum level.

1. Parking at FSU.

Parking for most colleges is rough, but at FSU with the endless construction in Tallahassee and the thousands of people who go to school here, there never seems to be parking when you need it. Everyone wonders why does FSU continue to build more dorms but not more parking.

2. Football season.

For many including myself, football season is like Christmas every other week. You get ready with your friends, tailgate your hearts desires away, and watch the game until you feel a heat stroke come on. No matter how hot it is or if the game is not going your way, you will always love your Noles.

3. Jimbo Fisher and John Thrasher.

These two are the heart of Florida State. Jimbo Fisher has created so many stars, won us a National Championship, and to many is quite the looker. John Thrasher is woke and if he ran for President of the U.S. all Florida State students would vote for him and hope Jimbo would be his V.P. Overall these men are the heart and soul of this school.

4. Potbelly's and the Strip.

At least once in your time as a student at FSU you will end up at both of these places either sober or drunk... but most likely drunk. These nights will be some of your favorites with your friends, that usually end in bad decisions and either at McDonald's or with Pokey Sticks.

5. Signing up for classes is Hell.

Depending on your window for signing up for classes, depends on how screwed you really are. If you are the last window, I hope you don't need to sign up for an important class that is only open in the fall cause 10 out of 10 you will not be getting this class and your advisors will be like too bad.

6. No matter what you will always bleed garnet and gold

Even when you can't get the class you need, or have a teacher that fails you for no reason, or lose a game to Clemson, or can't find parking, or have a horrible dorm experience you will always love being a Nole and all the amazing experiences that come with it.

Going to FSU was the best decision I have ever made and I hope it is the best decision you have ever made. Florida State is my home and I can't imagine having to say goodbye to this beautiful place in a year and a half. I hope your experience exceeds all of your expectations and follow your dreams.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
