If for some reason your favorite season is not fall and you are reading this, prepare to have your opinion changed! Fall is the best season and there is some concrete evidence to support my theory, it is as follows.

1. Fall Fashion

Sweaters, boots, scarves, beanies with little floofs on top (that is the technical term), fuzzy socks... Need I go on?

2. Excessive Coffee Consumption is Acceptable

Coffee is essential amidst college and work life, but typically drinking three or more cups per day is frowned upon. That is not the case in fall! Pumpkin spice lattes are all the rage and therefore excessive consumption of caffeine is not only acceptable, but encouraged (especially by Starbucks). Thank you consumerism and advertising! :)

3. CANDLES

In fall scents like pumpkin waffles, pumpkin latte, pumpkin feet, literally everything pumpkin are everywhere. So, why not have them in your room? Candles create a cozy atmosphere and will cover up the smell of your dirty clothes that have been in the corner for three weeks. If you are like me, your dorm does not permit the use of candles... rude I know! However, I have found that wax melts work just as well.

4. Crisp Weather/Changing Leaves

Fall means the commencement of chilly weather, which allows for sweaters and all the fabulous fashion choices I listed earlier. This crisp weather is marked by the changing colors of the leaves. The orange, red, and yellow leaves are like a blanket covering the shoulders of a girl at a bonfire; the sight is so pleasing to the eye and just makes everyone all around happier people (and if it doesn't, well good luck to you sir).

5. BOLD Lips

Going along with the fashion piece earlier, bold makeup in general is everywhere during fall, especially bold lip colors. A bold lip is an instant confidence booster! Even if you got zero sleep the night before, are out of coffee, and overall just feel like trash, a bold lip can transform you into a girl who appears to have her life together! It truly is magical.

6. Pumpkin Patches

As I said earlier, pumpkins are literally freaking everywhere in fall, you cannot avoid the pumpkin craze! So instead of attempting to escape the basicness of it all, why not jump in and go to a pumpkin patch? Pumpkin patches are great! The atmosphere screams fall (obviously pumpkins, duh) and is the perfect spot to sip hot cocoa and partake in an Instagram photoshoot. The photos encompass the colors of fall, pumpkins (the thing that is literally incorporated into every aspect of our lives in fall), and the gorgeous leaves. Thus, I see no shame in it...

7. Halloween Movies

One of the best things about the fall season is that it includes Halloween and all of the spookiness that goes along with that. I argue that the best thing about the holiday (besides dressing up like Wendy from Peter Pan for instance) are the Halloween movie marathons on Disney Channel and Freeform (ABCFamily if you are a 90s kid). Not only do the movies get you into the Halloween spirit, they also hold a certain nostalgia for us all :)

8. Indie Music

A key part in creating the fall vibe in your car, room, life, is a good fall playlist. Over the years I have noticed a theme in mine, Indie music. Indie music just has a way of calming me instantly and just feels more authentic to me. It creates this homey and chill vibe that can't fully be explained... I adore it!

I could go on about why I love fall and theorize that it is the best season of them all, however I think you should go out and experience the season rather than simply reading about it... So grab your coat, a hot cup of java (or a pumpkin spice latte if you must) and go take it all in!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
