Why Facebook is Actually the Worst

When will you all learn when enough is enough?

Several months ago, I signed up for Facebook as a work requirement and have been subjected to the buffoonery of my extended family and friends. Not only is it the most annoying social media I've ever had, I am consistently frustrated with the unoriginal content and constant bombardment of political cartoons that drag millennials for anything and everything (apparently a generation that's only existed for about 30 years has been responsible for every bad thing that has ever happened in US politics). All I'm saying is is if I have to read one more Minion post on my timeline, I'm literally going to scream.

This may sound awful, but people over the age of 45 should have their posts limited to only 2 a day. I don't want my timeline to be cluttered with status updates about how bored you are or how you just cleaned your house. Nobody really cares. This also goes for people who like to post vague, passive aggressive, complaints about their miserable lives in status updates but never want to talk about the problem with anyone.

I don't care that you baked cookies for your snot-nosed, ratty-haired excuses for children, your dogs that look like they've never been bathed in their entire lives, or a photo album with 50 pictures of your boring, 30-minute meal that you stole from Rachael Ray. When did Facebook become a haven for miserable, suburban moms who only want to talk about how much they love their family and don't really contribute anything else? Your lives are all so boring it hurts!

Facebook was meant for you the share highlights of your life with the world. Maybe you went on a fun family trip and wanted to post a handful of photos, or you won an award and want to show off to your friends. That content is understandable. It's when every single second of everyone's life is shared that the entire platform becomes obnoxious. If your life is boring and uneventful, don't let anyone know it's boring and uneventful. Keep your wall clean until you have something worth sharing. Otherwise, keep it to yourself. You're probably not as interesting as you think.

I don't want to see any more boring inspirational quotes, old outdated memes (let Chuck Norris die already!), or dozens of selfies that all look the same. I want creativity, interesting updates that bring up meaningful discussions, and a variety of posts that don't all come from the same 5 people. Facebook is meant to reconnect with old friends and see what they're up to from time to time, not to make you feel like your living with them while having every single detail of their lives shoved down your throat!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
