So for those that have been with me for a while know that I went through a lot this year, including going through sorority rush. I learned towards the end of the process that there was a reason why it didn't work out. That reason is something that I would find out a few weeks later when I decided to go through Sigma Alpha Omega's recruitment at my school.
During the weeks of recruitment for SAO, I really got to experience and take the time to know the sisters and girls that I was going through this process with. Each day had its own uniqueness to it and I really enjoyed that about it. I didn't feel like I had to be a different person when going through. As I got to know everyone, I just wanted to keep coming back to know even more.
I know it might sound crazy, but I truly think I have found my place in SAO while going through the candidate process. I have had lots of tears with all of the girls as I have gotten to know them. We have shed mostly happy tears though. I have made so many great memories so far and I cannot wait to make even more as I continue on this journey.
Additionally, what I have learned the most during the process is to always find time to spend with God. SAO has really taught me that it's okay that you need to have more of Him in your college journey, especially when you're currently pre-stressed out over taking finals for all of your classes (totally not me at the moment lol). But I have learned that I am not crazy for wanting to have God around through each part of my life.
And that's why I decided to go SAO, not for the letters or the cute shirts but for my journey with Christ and my sisters in this sorority. I honestly can't wait to see where this crazy life of my leads me next, but I am so excited to see where it all takes me.
As always thanks for reading! Do you have an exciting part of your journey or a reason why you joined your club/organization? I'd love to hear it in the comments!
