Like most people, I loveeee vacationing! Planning a vacation sometimes can be a bit stressful once you start to see the price of the trip continue to go up (we've all been there). Personally, I find cruising to be one of the best trips that you can take and get the most for your buck. Going with a group of friends is even cheaper once you split it amongst yourselves. Here are 8 reasons why cruising is the best way to vacation.

1. Typically, you travel to multiple places.

What's so great about cruising is that you're able to travel not just to one place, but multiple. Most travel through the Bahamas and other tropical islands, but there are some that also travel through Europe as well. So if tropical islands aren't your cup of tea, there are multiple other options for you to travel to.

2. Everything is included (for the most part).

When it comes to cruises, you get your room obviously, your breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Most cruises have great extra activities like mini golf, rock climbing, surfing, the works. If you are looking for an all expenses, you may have to purchase a drink package instead of ordering drinks and paying as you go. Overall, the quality of the food and entertainment each ship has to offer is incredible and well worth the money.

3.There are endless amounts of things to do on the ship.

You will never be bored on a cruise ship because there are multiple events and activities every day. There are things from comedy shows, breathtaking risk-taking shows, and even ice skating shows. Most ships have a Broadway Musical on each ship so you have a variety of different shows to attend.

4. You can lay by multiple pools and catch some sun.

Instead of one, there are typically three different pool areas for you to choose from. Each pool usually has a certain vibe from a more adult pool, to a younger crowd, and also a more "kiddie area". Depending on the cruise line, some are more family-friendly than others.

5. There are always shows and events for your nightlife needs.

If you want to let loose and want to dance your pants off, you can! Most ships have live music nightclubs and others have a DJ and different themes for each night. You get a chance to get your groove on until your heart's content-- this ship never sleeps.

6. There are game shows and trivia if you're into that sort of fun.

Need a break from vacation and want to get the wheels turning again, or you're a trivia guru? Enjoy!

7. Endless buffet-style restaurants.

Between breakfast and lunch, there are ample amounts of buffet-style restaurants. You can have delicious fresh fruit all day or classic chicken fingers and fries, all the way to steak and potatoes. The variety is endless.

8. The boat never sleeps.

You can get ice cream and pizza at any time. Let's be real, you know you'll stumble back to your room with as much pizza as you can carry!

Some people fear that they will be seasick on the ship, but there are many many different ways to avoid being sick on your vacation. Some use Dramamine, a patch you place behind your ear, and even pressure point bracelets. All are very helpful from my personal experience, but don't let the fear of being sick on the ship hold you back from trying such a great vacation!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
