Being sick as a college-aged adult is, by far, one of the worst things I've ever experienced. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. If you just-so-happen to be one of the lucky people who never get sick and don't understand what I mean; First of all, I beg you to tell me your secrets. But here are seven simple reasons why it's THE. WORST.
1. When You First Feel It Coming On, This Is The First Thought That Goes Through Your Mind:
Can't wait to suffer through this for a week! Woo!
2. You Get Sick When It's Least Convenient.
Not that it's ever really convenient, but... does it have to be now? I have three exams, a presentation, a lunch date, and a bunch of meetings. I can pencil you in for, like, Summer 2016?
3. This Is The First Thing Everyone Says When They See You:
Thanks, Rachel. I'll remember this when you need the Modernism homework.
4. You Don't Really Know What You're Sick With, All You Know Is That You Feel HORRIBLE.
Whatever you do, don't WebMD your symptoms. Trust me.
5. By The Third Day, You're Concocting Weird Home Remedies Because You're SO DONE With Suffering.
At this point, I'd be better off selling my soul to Satan.
6. You've Never Made Your Own Doctors Appointment And You're Not About To Try Now.
Not that I can really even afford it... But hey, has anyone ever actually died from the common cold?
7. When You Finally Get To Feeling Better But Then You Remember How Much Work You Have To Catch Up On:
I mean, at least, you're not sick. For now.
