I have made so many trips to The Exchange since it has opened this past winter, and I am slightly embarrassed about it. My taste buds and I do not regret any trip though.
Located on West Jimmie Leeds road in Galloway, The Exchange makes for a perfect snack, lunch, or dinner spot for Stockton University students looking to get a meal off campus. It is also perfect for an AlantiCare employee on break, or any south Jersey resident looking for some good grub.
Now prepare yourself for mouth-watering pictures that’ll make you crave these delicious foods.
1. Vagabond.
Here they serve burgers, fries, shakes and so much more. Vagabond has even been featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins & Dives.” Specifically geared towards the Stockton customers, they also just recently introduced the “Osprey Burger,” the “Double O,” and the “Osprey Special” which includes a 6oz burger with the works, fries and a small drink or milkshake! I have personally had their turkey burger and it was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. Their food is juicy, flavorful and served in portions with so much food you’ll have half to take home with you for leftovers. Who doesn’t love that?
2. El Coyote II.
This restaurant is Atlantic county’s Mexican go to! The original El Coyote is located in Egg Harbor Township, but this shop in Galloway has made its mark. My roommate talked about the empanadas for days after we went to The Exchange. They sell tacos, burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas, tostadas and even more entrees, appetizers and sides here. Everything that my friends have had from this shop has smelled heavenly, and they say has tasted even better. El Coyote II is definitely on my list to try before the semester ends.
3. Greens and Grains.
Now for my favorite restaurant in the food court! Greens and Grains has made me fall in love with quinoa again because of their quinoa bowls! With options like savory curried lentils or chickpeas with veggies including sweet potatoes, carrots, and spinach, and veggie chili, no choice is a bad one. Quinoa bowls are definitely not the only good thing Greens and Grains sells. They sell amazing smoothies, juices, wraps, pitas, paninis, acai bowls and more. My recommendation for a smoothie is the Pina Kalada, a sweet and nutrient packed drink that filled me up before I could finish my quinoa bowl. Another plus? Everything here is $9 or less!
4. Roots Coffee and Tea.
This may be one of the most visually appealing cafes I have ever visited. With baked good samples covering the counter, and unique and interesting drink concoctions, it would be hard to become bored with your options at Roots. They sell everything from your basic coffees to baked goods to teas to specialty drinks, like the Wildflower Honey & Bee Pollen Latte - a drink that is the first on my list of drinks I want to try from Roots. Whether you are a regular coffee drinker or a lover of flavored caffeine, I’m sure you’ll find something to match your craving here.
If these pictures don’t have you in your car already, you should definitely consider checking out the awesome shops at The Exchange sometime soon. Don’t feel like driving over? They deliver too! How great is that?
I wish you all happy days and full bellies.
