There's nothing quite like finding a great television show -- a show that will always cheer you up and distract you from the larger issues in life, a show that can make you connect to the characters and relate your own life to their fictional lives. I would say the only thing better than finding a great television show is finding a great book, but I don't think that many busy college students would agree with me there. Anyways, I think many college students could agree that "New Girl" is one of those great shows -- one of those shows that can put their own daily struggles into perspective while getting a good laugh out of each episode.
1. When you're getting ready for a job or internship interview...
Everyone needs a little Schmidt confidence.
2. When someone asks you, "Do you even know how to cook?"
How else could you have such great pancake-flipping form?
3. When someone asks you if you want to study with them right after your three-hour lab...
What kind of stamina do these people think you have? Not anymore than those kids in Coach's P.E. class.
4. When you decide to "wing" a major test...
And there goes your GPA.
5. When you think about how many hours you've wasted reading trivial articles like this one instead of being an adult and tending to your responsibilities...
Nobody spews excuses as to why he can't do something like Nick.
6. When you or your friends were inspired by the "douchebag jar" idea in "New Girl."
You're either out of a lot of money right now or you're swimming in it.
7. When you and your friends go out for the night...
Work it, girl.
8. When you reflect on your standing in society as a young adult...
Now the problems are all ours!?
9. When there's a New Girl marathon on...
Am I getting paid for this post yet?
10. When you get randomly called-on by your professor in class.
11. When you appreciate your hilarious group of friends even more because of "New Girl."
And isn't that the point of spending 36 hours on your couch?
