The 2016 presidential election caused quite a stir among about half of Americans. So many hateful, slanderous things have been said about Republican party. So, let me set some things straight about Republicans:

We are not all white, rich men. We don't all come from money; in fact, there are many Republicans, such as myself, who are living at or below the poverty line.

We don't hate people who are different from us. We are not homophobic, and we don't hate you if you aren't a Christian. We believe in respecting others' opinions. Agreeing with someone is not a prerequisite for respect.

We do not oppose immigration; we support legal immigration. And believe it or not, there are a vast number of Republicans who are actually in favor of reforming the immigration system in order to make legal immigration more efficient for those wishing to become American citizens.

We are not stingy; we just work really hard for what we have. To be honest, I'd give you my last dollar if you asked.

We don't think that men are better than women. The world would not survive without women.

We are not all against social programs. I am not against a welfare system that is meant for temporary support, and I strongly support healthcare for impoverished children and seniors.

We support our elderly and are adamant that our aging citizens receive the social security they both paid for and were promised.

We are, in fact, fighters for the unborn. We will defend those who can't defend themselves.

We are not racist. We will not demean you for your skin color, we will not belittle you, and we will respect you.

We are not uneducated. The amount of educated Republicans who voted for Trump in the last election was almost equal to the amount of educated Liberals who voted for Clinton.

We are not ignorant; we are very aware of the world around us. We know that there are different opinions, and we respect that.

We support our soldiers. We are the land of the free because of the brave.

We are in favor of limited government, and we support individualism.

We love the United States of America. We have pride in this country. We will not forsake this country. We will fight for the United States of America and its future.
