When You Start Getting Tired of Writing
Stocksnap

Writing is a difficult task. Sometimes you have a million stories to tell but you can’t seem to find the words. Something I’ve learned early on in the process is that we (The Odyssey Community) don't always need to create the most amazing products (that others want), but rather, it's about showing your truest self through your writing. Writing, for a lot of people, is a way to slowly begin to discover who you really are. It’s a method of entering yourself and really beginning to understand who you were made to be. Along the way you start to grow. To truly learn why you began writing in the first place other than just the joy of being able to write to share your opinions. Whether you write about your best friends and how much they have affected you or the direction of the US, you aren’t just writers anymore, you’re INFLUENCERS.

At this moment, we have been given the amazing opportunity to influence a generation. I often get comments on posts about Millennial's. Is that all we really ever do though? Type behind a keyboard, sharing our opinion, but not actually doing anything about it. My response to those kinds of comments is that if we didn’t have writers or bloggers there wouldn’t be any progress made in this world. What I mean by that is that we are is a collective group of writers writing about whatever the heck we want but with importance. Everything we write (for the most part) in our opinions is important so we are basically telling everyone else that what we have to say is important and we are worthy of being heard. So, if you, the writer, ever think that you don’t have enough time to write, or if you are starting to get tired of doing this, let me encourage you and say that what you are doing is important, and important enough to INFLUENCE an entire generation.

This last part I wrote 5 years ago. This was a time where I didn’t know what the heck I was doing with my life. I was a little Freshmen in High School and only beginning to understand what my calling was and these two things kept me going, Music and Writing.

“ To me, music is more than just instruments and singing, it’s a way of life. In music, it’s a way for free expression. You can incorporate it into your life and that’s what I want my music to be. I want it to bring life. I want my music to tell my life story. I want it to share my struggles, walls, relationships, etc. I write music because what I write is straight from my own heart.

This was only a small part because some of the other things were dumb High School Freshmen things, but all of this remains the same in my life. Keep Writing, it’s more than a chore, it’s a way to change the world.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
