Remember the time your friends made you laugh so hard that you couldn’t breathe.

Remember how it felt when you made that homeless person smile.

Remember the warmth of your mom’s embrace after coming home from a bad school day.

Remember the love in your dad’s words when he tried to calm you down after a break up.

Remember the way your heart started racing when your lips first touched someone else's.

Remember the smell of the grill lingering in the air at a summer barbeque.

Remember how the snow sparkles in the sun each time after a storm.

Remember the joy the sound of seagulls and waves crashing gives you when you reach the shore.

Remember how it feels to have a warm breeze hitting your face on a summer night.

Remember the softness of your pet’s fur when they snuggle up against you.

Remember the unconditional love they show you as they jump all over you when you walk through the door.

Remember the excitement you felt when getting ready for a night out with your friends.

Remember what it felt like to come home with your face hurting because you spent the whole day smiling.

Remember the taste of chocolate melting in your mouth as you eat a Hershey kiss.

Remember the salty smell of popcorn as you walk into the movie theater and get ready to see a new movie.

Remember the beauty of a rainbow appearing in the sky after a rainy day.

Remember the fresh smell of rain when you go outside after a downpour.

Remember the coziness of sitting by a lit up fireplace and sipping a hot chocolate when it’s freezing outside.

Remember the comfort you feel the moment you lay in bed after a long work day.

Remember all of the people you still have in your life and the ones who have stuck by you through the darkest times in your life.

And always remember no matter who you are or what you’re going through, God loves you.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
