GET RIPPED IN 90 DAYS! Abs in one month! Get jacked quick! These are the tag lines that are plastered across fitness magazines, workout DVDs and infomercials throughout the U.S. Companies and their associates promise incredible results in "just 15 minutes a day!" with little to no dieting.
P90X was the first starter of the "get ripped quick" phenomenon and from there, the time needed to get in shape has dropped over and over. The difference is, P90X is actual, full-length workouts that produce real results when done properly and with the proper diet. Modern "shortcut" workouts do no such thing. Also, it's not just random companies that are trying to make a quick buck, big name fitness magazines such as "Muscle and Fitness" do the same sort of marketing. Every month M&F has a new way to transform your body in no time flat.
What these articles fail to say, however, is how much time and effort it takes on behalf of the individual trying to get into shape, to produce the results that are being marketed. Building muscle and burning fat is a fantastic and amazing process, that can produce some of the greatest feelings of self worth and pride in yourself. However, it takes months and months, and usually years, to truly transform ones body, to build quality mass and lose unsightly body fat. That is what many fitness adverts won't tell you. There is no special pill. There is no magic 10 minute workout, no fancy clothing. There is only hard, hard work and dedication. Fat loss pills merely supplement the work that you are already putting in, they will do nothing without your continued effort. Ten-minute workouts only produce results when someone knows their body and inject an incredible amount of effort into that 10 minutes of exercise.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is an example of this, however even these workouts are usually 20-40 minutes long and will leave you breathless on your ass. The simple fact is, working out properly and building a beautiful physique takes time and effort. Hours and hours in the gym, doing cardio, eating properly, sleeping right and enough. There is no easy way. It isn't complicated, but it is very hard. This article isn't meant to discourage anyone from pursuing their goals with their looks, but it is meant to be a wake up call to everyone that is finding an easy way to produce the results that they are looking for. Train hard, eat the proper foods in the proper amounts and progress will come. So go out there, get sweaty, train your ass off and come back looking better than ever! If you liked this article, and like talking about fitness, they'll be more to come! Thanks for reading.
