America is currently in an uproar, due to racial profiling,police brutality and politics. Many people believe we are on the verge of a head on collision with disaster. Many people have risen to confront these conflicts through social media, which is a great way for news and thoughts to spread throughout the world. But social media also seems to be the extent of help people give. A simple hashtag cannot be the key tackling these issues currently at hand. The hashtag should be used to help people become aware of the issue. We must look up from our phones and take charge. One of the many ways to stop police brutality would be to make a “use of force standard”, setting limits on the very people that protect us. At the end of the day we must acknowledge the fact every group has its bad apples. So by retaliating with force on random officers is also wrong. “An eye for and eye will make the entire world blind”, as the saying goes. We should consider this when we persecute people who have committed no wrong. My point is this: America is going to diverge no matter what side you take. Look for an answer that will bring us to peace and tranquility.
