What Your Favorite Christmas Movie Says About You

My favorite thing this time of year is lighting up the Christmas tree and snuggling under the blanket with hot cocoa while I binge every good Christmas movie. Here's a list of my favorites, and what your favorite of them says about you.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas"

If it's the original cartoon, you like good holiday fun. If it's the live action movie, you want to be a who. If it's the new musical that aired right before I wrote this, you're have no taste.

"The Polar Express"

You love Tom Hanks, probably a little too much.

"Nightmare Before Christmas"

You don't really Christmas much, but you absolutely love Halloween.

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"

You have the best taste of anyone on this list.

"Miracle on 34th Street"

You still believe in the magic of Christmas.

"Holiday Inn"

You really like those old movie-musicals that starred the same 5 actors, but were somehow very good, so I can't blame you.

"Home Alone"

If it's the first Home Alone, you always wanted to get away from your family. If it's the second Home Alone, you really need to have a wild adventure soon. If it's the third or fourth, with an entirely different family and premise, then you have too much free time on your hands, because no one should be watching those.

"The Santa Clause"

You're a nice person with a good sense of humor.

"It's A Wonderful Life"

To you, Christmas isn't about Christmas as much as it's about getting time off from work and spending time with your family.

"A Christmas Story"

You watched the all-day-on-Christmas reruns so many times that you know every word in the whole movie by heart.

"Elf"

Will Ferrell can do no wrong in your eyes, and you're not wrong about that.

"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" or another animated cartoon

You're all about the classics. To you, nothing says Christmas like terrible claymation and songs about snowmen, or reindeer, or Santa.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
