What Your Favorite Christmas Movie Says About You

With Christmas right around the corner, Christmas-themed movies are sure to be first on the list of things to watch. Though most of us have seen almost all of the classics, there are some that we continue to watch over and over again. What does your favorite Christmas movie say about you?

The Santa Clause: Christmas when you were a kid was the absolute best. From the Christmas cookies to the reindeer games, this is a magical time of year for you. You know that Santa Claus and his reindeer aren't just a legend, and you won’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

It’s A Wonderful Life: Christmas is the one time that you truly unwind and enjoy the people that you’re with. Though the holidays can be hard, you know that everyone is together for a reason, even if that means putting up with a few annoying family members along the way.

Charlie Brown Christmas: Christmas is something that you celebrate all year round. You're just excited that others have finally joined in your celebrating. It's Christmas everyday!

Elf: Holidays are your absolute favorite. You love a good laugh and new adventures, and you’re always up for a starting a new tradition. It just wouldn’t be the holiday season without sitting in Santa's lap and listening to Christmas music. Though you love to have fun, the people you love are still the most important thing to you. Without them, the holidays just wouldn’t be complete.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Christmas is just not your thing. It’s not that you have anything against it, you just don’t see what all of the hype is about. This year, give yourself the chance to get caught up in the holiday spirit. Who knows—you might find that you like Christmas after all!

Home Alone: Christmas brings out a different side in you. Nothing is ever boring in your house, and even though all of your family might not be around, you still know how to have a great time.

Any Lifetime movie: Movies with sappy endings are your thing. You love holidays that seem as though they could come straight out of a magazine. The holidays wouldn’t be complete without your family and a special someone by your side. Though you might be okay with a little bit of drama during the holiday season, it had better be gone before Christmas dinner.

A Christmas Carol: You love tradition, and everyone around knows just how important that is to you. Though tradition isn’t a bad thing, this Christmas season, don’t be afraid to embrace new something new. You never know what you could be missing out on.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
