If you are on Snapchat, you probably understand how hilarious it can be. Whether you plan on sending the world’s most embarrassing picture to your best friends or bombard friends with boring pictures, you are most likely guilty of all these apologies. To my best friends on Snapchat, these are apologies and confessions I want you to know:
I’m sorry I took forever responding to you. Most of the time I am not in the place or setting to snap back, but other times I will have to take multiple selfies before I figure out which one to send you.
I’m sorry for sending endless pictures of my pets from home. I can’t help but share their cuteness and what they do all day.
I’m sorry for the window pictures. You’ll be lucky if I’m somewhere with a nice view, but if it’s a picture of the wall, I may or may not look horrible and don’t want you to see what I look like.
I’m sorry for the black screen at night. It is too much effort to turn the lights on just for you to see yet another wall picture.
I’m sorry for always being the one to snap first randomly. I just wanted to keep our Snapstreak going.
Speaking of snap streaks, I’m sorry if I never replied and we lost the streak. Many people have a hard time forgiving their friend for losing it, but thanks for understanding my busy life and poor answering.
I’m sorry for spamming you with funny Snapchat filters. I get way more excited than I should and probably should be doing homework.
I probably have screen-shot something from you if I found it funny or sweet. Be careful what you send, you might end up in my camera roll as blackmail. (Sorry not sorry).
I’m sorry for sending the exact same selfie during a conversation we are having. I don’t have many faces to send, so hopefully you’re okay with the face that I decided on.
I’m sorry for the spelling errors. Snapchat doesn’t exactly catch my errors when I’m tired from studying or when I’m super excited about where I am and have no control to send a decent snap.
I’m sorry I replied two minutes after you sent me a snap. I’m not a stalker I swear; I just constantly have my phone near me.
I’m sorry if I bombard you with snaps of whatever event I am. If I’m at concert, be prepared to listen to a whole lot of the same artist. If I’m watching the Grammy’s, you better believe you’ll be getting a few snaps of the same performance.
I’m sorry if my snaps are only two seconds. I forgot to check the time from a previous snap where I risked being screen-shot (which it was).
I’m sorry (okay, not really but still) if I send you the awkward selfies with happy smiles. If there actually comes a day where I actually look like a human, it has to be documented and you will know about it.
And lastly, I’m not sorry I get to talk to you every day.
The best thing about Snapchat is being able to keep in touch with people you either see all the time, can’t see every day because of long distance, or even people you lost contact with. Seeing my best friends’ names pop up on my phone is definitely a highlight of my day. I’m thankful for the people that keep me involved in their daily life as I keep them in mine.
