If your semester is anything like mine, it flew by in the blink of an eye. It feels like just yesterday I walked through the doors of my lectures trying to find the perfect seat to sit in or see if I could recognize a familiar face in the room. However, that was most definitely not yesterday. It's been about 12 weeks and the end of the semester stress is hitting harder than ever.
At this point, sitting through class can sometimes feel like a chore. One cup of coffee to get through the day has steadily turned into five. That eagerness to learn a new topic may have faded, but it's important now, maybe, more than any point in the semester-to persevere.
With just a couple weeks of school left, it's easy to accept where you're at in a class. Especially if your grade isn't the most desirable, but don't give up on that yet. There's still time to do homework assignments to boost your grade. A lot of hours are left to study for that one exam you have before your final. Your professors are still willing to help you. Extra credit opportunities are out there.
Maybe this time is particularly stressful for you because you've been killing it all semester. You've been hitting the books every night and going above and beyond, but it's finally taking a toll on you. It's okay to take a step back from the endless amount of schoolwork. Have a night where you binge watches your favorite show. Go hang out with your friends. Do something that clears your head. Your mental health is more important than any assignment might feel at the time.
Right now, it can feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and there's not enough time to achieve what you want. Take a deep breath, relax, and push through these next couple of weeks with your head held high. You can come out on top this semester with good grades and your sanity. I promise it's not too late.
