Time and time again we seen surgeries that look awful and atrocious. Thankfully, there are doctors such as Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif, stars of the hit TV show "Botched" can correct the worst of the worst. With that, there are somethings they have taught us throughout the show. Here are 9 things that "Botched" taught us about plastic surgery:

1. Always research your surgeon.

Research will save a lot of pain both mentally and physically, by choosing the right doctor that will be a lift off your shoulders

2. Cheap doesn't mean better.

For those who go to foreign countries to get plastic surgeries, there is a reason why they are cheap because they do not have standards of health compared to the U.S (when it comes to surgeries, food I would disagree with). Some of the time surgeries done in foreign countries will end in a disaster.

3. Always listen to the doctor

The doctor (if you choose the right one) will tell you good advice and you must listen to it. If you listen to it they will be happy, if you ignore it and go to Brazil for the 19th botched nose job, do not come back and complain.

4. Know your limits with surgery.

If you body can handle 350ccs of implants, do not go above that because the skin on your breast will thin and thus making it vulnerable.

5. If you're uncomfortable with any of it back out.

Yes the doctor will be mad if you back out before you go under anesthesia, but they will be relieved to not get a bad review on yelp.

6. Do not use the time you during the consultation to flirt with the doctor.

Plastic surgeries are not a joke and your head needs to be 100% focused on knowing what you're getting into, flirting with the doctor will make it awkward for both of y'all.

7. Do not practice medical things on yourself!

Chances are you never been in medical school, never less in a health class above the basic one we all had to take in high school. With that being said playing doctor on yourself will lead to disaster.

8. If the doctor does not have a plan for you....RUN!

There was a patient who went in for surgery, but the two doctors operating on her were arguing about the plan. She still went through it, but it was a mess for Dr. Dubrow to clean up.

9. Always be honest with your doctor!!

Be honest about all surgeries and allergies, even the minor ones. Also be honest about any and all drug use because this is critical when setting you up with medications for during and after surgery. A good doctor would not want to kill you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
