1. Wondering why you signed up to wake up at 3:30 in the morning and talk to girls for 8+ hours that you probably will never see again

2. Being smushed on buses from Tate to Milledge.

3. Running from one side of Milledge to other in less than 17 minutes.

4. Wondering how 200+ girls can all be in sync while singing and running.

5. Rolling your eyes when it is quite obvious that you've been matched with someone.

6. Getting sick!!!! Take it from someone who got a fever during Pref!!

7. Not hearing what the girl two inches from your face is saying because it is so loud.

8. Replying completely wrong to the girl rushing you because #7.

9. "When, oh when, will the Gamma Chi let me go to the bathroom????"

10. Looking around wondering if everyone is as confused/tired/hungry/ready to collapse as you are.

11. Getting dropped is a reality that happens to almost everyone that rushes, but do not take it personally!! The sisters of that sorority know their sisterhood better than you do and they just want you to be somewhere that is best fit for you!

12. Severe anxiety because Pref Round is emotional AF.

13. Going through the whole first day of classes AND THEN Bid Day happens.

14. Holding your bid envelope and realizing the next four years of your life are in there.

15. YAY!!!!! HAPPY BID DAY!!!!!! YAY SISTERHOODS!!!!!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
