Attention: Christmas is here in less than 20 days! All of the holiday buzz is happening now until the 25th including decorations everywhere you look, the smell of Christmas cookies in the oven, Christmas music in every store, and the 25 days of Christmas movies in full swing to get you in the spirit! Although Christmas is about much more than presents and material items, we need to have some ideas when your parents (Santa) are constantly nagging you about giving them a list. If you're like me and don't have many ideas about what to ask for this year, here are some of the top gifts that are hot on the market this year to help you out!

1. Hoverboard

2. Apple Watch

3. Fitbit

4. Kindle

5. Tickets (Sports Game, Concert, Play/Musical, etc.)

6. Cold Weather Apparel

7. Ca$h

If these ideas don't interest you, or you already have a lot of them then there are plenty of other gifts to ask for and receive. Think of something creative and homemade to make your family members, put a basket together of all your best friends' favorite things, or instead of asking for something for yourself, instead ask for toys, perishable food or money to donate to those in need this holiday season.

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
