Nepotism.

The act of giving family members important positions in well, everything. Something I thought we fucking outlawed CENTURIES AGO!

Nepotism is, unsurprisingly, back at the forefront at the Group of 20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany, the meeting of the twenty major governments in the world. It discusses such matters as international financial stability or climate change. Well, the Group of 20 became the Group of 19:

NO, IT FUCKING ISN’T! AMERICAN POLITICS IS NOT “THE GODFATHER” WHERE THE DON CAN USE “THE PRESIDENCY” AS A FRONT FOR ILLEGAL BUSINESS!

Ivanka Trump, possible daughter-wife of President Trump, which could explain a possible conversion to Mormonism by Donald, sat in for her father at the G20 Summit with such dignitaries; the Chancellor of Germany (Angela Merkel), the Prime Ministers of Canada and Britain (Justin Trudeau and Theresa May, respectively), and the French President (Emmanuel Macron). This may have been a blessing in disguise, considering her father’s lack of attentiveness:

Hell, even I’m shocked that Trump passed upon a potential opportunity of narcissism (a photo-op). When he passed upon a photo-op, we knew that this was not normal. But, normalcy soon returned when British PM Theresa May had to nudge Trump awake to get him to turn around to participate in the photo opportunity with all the other leaders of the major economies in the world. It’d be nice to see either Merkel, Macron, or Trudeau do the old ‘hand in warm water’ prank.

Too bad that was just the tip of the iceberg with the Trump Gaffes at the Summit. He has been spotted sitting alone in a group of ONE with all other major world leaders with certain issues such as free trade and climate change. There is the act of foregoing the traditional press conference at the end of the summit. It led others such as Merkel, Macron, and Putin to give takes on developments with very little resistance from the U.S. One of those takes was the rebuke Trump got when pulling out of the Paris Accord in May. Too bad that it’s irreversible, much like what he is doing with our image across the world, and what is he doing in terms of isolating us from the rest of the world.

Irreversible may also be the image of Donald and Vladimir Putin at their first meeting since Trump began his presidency.

One can only imagine what Putin said to Trump during that handshake. Was it: “Keep making yourself look like a fool, and I won’t release the Pee Tape?” Or, “We played the American people for Saps?”

My money is on “Wait until you see what I have in store for the 2018 midterms.”

Moving along…

“Dude, where’s my car?”

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
