We've all desperately searched through someone's Instagram to find out everything there is to know about them. However, where we REALLY should be looking is at people's laptop stickers. You can learn more from laptop stickers than you could from 153 carefully filtered Instagram photos. Here's the information you can acquire with a simple glance:
1. The college they attend
Right off the bat, people usually have a sticker sporting their college. Whether it's the mascot or the acronym, you automatically know who they cheer for on game days.
2. The sorority they're in
Whether it's the Lily Pulitzer print that catches your eye or the huge Greek letters, it's easy to tell when someone is in a sorority. They proudly place them in the most aesthetically pleasing parts of their laptops, usually the top right corner.
3. The adventures they've been on
It's easy to tell where someone's been because they've usually snagged a sticker to commemorate the event. Although I'm not sure they actually summited that mountain or surfed that beach, they definitely appreciated it enough to buy a sticker.
4. Their worldview
Some people have sunshines and bubbly letters whereas some other people have grumpy cats and storm clouds. Sometimes the best way to judge someone is not by their cover, but their stickers. However, they could just like cats, who knows, your call.
5. What they do in their free time
It could be their favorite author or a snowboard, but stickers are a dead giveaway to what people enjoy doing in their free time. It might even tell you if they like knitting!
6. Their political affiliation and values
This one is less commonly found because people usually don't want to start a brawl in the library or coffee shop; however, few do sport these. This also is a good indication that they're a bold person.
7. They're a caffeine addict
There it is – loud and proud. A Starbucks sticker. Oh, wait they also have a nice little coffee sticker. Yup, they definitely drink at least 5 cups a day. Maybe you relate.
So the next time you're in the library or coffee shop, look around. I can guarantee you could write a short biography on everyone in there who has laptop stickers.
