What It's Really Like Being A Jets Fan

Being a jets fan is like being in a relationship; you have your ups and your downs, your friends constantly pick out your flaws and the mistakes you swore you'd never make happen again and again. I know I can't complain, I chose the Jets lifestyle. Growing up in New Jersey, I could easily have called myself a Giants fan. But I didn't. It's not easy being green, by any means...and here's why:

1. They always find a way to let you down- Up 7 with 2 minutes left in the game? Oh, don't worry let us throw an easy pick or give up a silly penalty. Heartbreak never gets easier.

2. The home stadium is named after our instate rivals.

3. We haven't won a Super Bowl since 1969 (maybe if Rex Ryan spent more time coaching instead of predicting we'd win a Super Bowl we'd actually have won one).

4. The infamous Thanksgiving butt fumble—A few years later and that still stings of embarrassment.

5. Drafts are just painful to watch- It seems like every opportunity we have, we squander it. Never once will we forget how we didn't pick Dan Marino.

6. We're constantly reminded Rex Ryan used to be our coach- Just like an ex-boyfriend, Ryan's always finds a way to make himself relevant. Oh, how we wish we could forget the trash talking, the foot-loving coach who could use a much-needed diet.

7. Our rival is the Patriots—we're sick of hearing how great the Patriots and Brady are. We get it, you've won some Superbowls. But hey, at least our coach doesn't wear the same hoodie every week and we're not known for cheating. And Darelle Revis chose to come back to us.

8. We're in a tough division—even at 9-5, there's a slim chance we'll be able to clinch the wildcard and move on to the playoffs.

9. We constantly change quarterbacks like the seasons change. Brett Farve, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Geno Smith to name a few. At least Fitzpatrick seems to have stuck...finally.

10. The throwback jerseys aka the horrid blue and yellow that looked more like a wannabe Michigan team than anything.

11. We're always the underdog- People will always doubt us and they will never give us a chance. Sure we don't always deliver but we sure do put up one hell of a fight, so never, ever, count us out.

So with the season deep underway, I look back with nothing but love and admiration for the green and the white. It's been one hell of a ride the past seasons, full of heartache and praise, but mostly heartache. But I wouldn't trade it for everything. Thank you for #Revisisland and for the beaut that is Eric Decker. Thank you for the miracles of draft day which are Nick Folk and D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Thank you for giving me an excuse to trash talk (even if I suck). And most of all, thank you for giving me a reason to look forward to Sundays.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
