What It's Like Being An Aries, Just Incase You Care (Because We Don't)
Gina Brennan

I’ve always been a rather impulsive person. Consequences? Not important. My philosophy has always been to “act now, worry later.” As this thought process has often gotten me into more trouble than I would have liked, I have realized that this desire for impulse is in my blood. That is my astrological blood. I am an Aries, straightforward and determined, loyal and loving, independent yet impatient. I am not afraid to take risks or stand up for what I believe in.

Frankly speaking, if you are an Aries, you tend not to care about what people think. You live freely, laugh loudly, and you will be damned if you do not get your way. You work hard to achieve your goals, although you have a rather disruptive pattern of rarely finishing what you start. You are a natural born leader, and you allow your successes to outweigh your downfalls. Bottom line? You are a force to be reckoned with, Aries.

If you read the horoscope columns on Cosmopolitan as often as I do, then you are surely familiar with the symbol of the Aries-the ram. Throughout history, Rams have been an ongoing representation of leadership. As they often butt their heads into those of their enemies, rams are associated with approaching problems “head-on,” a rather fitting quality for an Aries. We are known to walk on the wild side of life and flirt with danger more often than not. With that being said, our sense of adventure is what keeps our lives interesting. Although we may not necessarily make the smartest of decisions at all times, we take our losses with pride and walk away with one hell of a story to tell.

If you are an Aries, you know that, with everything you do in life, determination is the specific key to your success. As I am a repeat offender of beginning projects and leaving them extremely open ended, I have found that I must push myself slightly harder than the average person to complete my goal. As an Aries, there tends to be a lack of necessary focus at times. Yet, one thing you must know is this: never to tell us not to do something. If you tell us not to do it, we will make it our one and only mission to complete it. I suppose you could say that is where that drive for impulse sets in.

Aries, on the more personal side, are known for their extreme loyalty to family, friends, and significant others. They love deeply and connect easily with those around them, attracting both introverts and extroverts. As independent as us Aries may be, we are mindful of the fact that we all need people. We remember that we are never too secure in our problem-solving abilities to isolate ourselves from those around us. In fact, when we find the same loyalty in a person that we give to others, you undoubtedly hold our trust in your hands.

Being an Aries is all it is cracked up to be. We live with no regrets and leave our marks on the world. We’re feisty, and we are the most fun-loving people you will find.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
