What is the importance of education: A guide

.

If you are aware of the importance of our children's education, you should work hard to get the best for them at Eipimath. But education, which is not the same as school, is not among the main concerns of Spaniards.

What is the importance of education

• Education is not obtaining academic degrees

• Education is bringing out the best in everyone.

• It is to improve our relations

• It is teaching to think

• Education makes us freer

Education is not obtaining academic degrees

Education doesn't usually have much to do with getting good grades. School grades usually assess the literal reproduction of unique and previously established answers... in almost all stages of the educational system: from Early Childhood Education to university education. It also has nothing to do with obtaining academic degrees, postgraduate degrees, or doctorates. Unfortunately, education often distances itself from studies. I'm sure we know people with an education... who don't have relevant academic degrees.

Bring out the best in everyone

It may sound utopian and idealistic, but the reality is that education, on the one hand, is to bring out the best in each person, but on the other, it is also an individual responsibility to be able to develop all of one's possibilities.

It is to develop our relations

Educating is improving oneself, being a better person, in all areas, being happier, and being more balanced. I like pedagogy because, unlike other disciplines, we do not work with disorders, or with patients, we do not do therapy... those of us who dedicate ourselves to pedagogy educate, we simply help to improve, something that is always possible and with everyone without exception.

Learn to relate better

The importance of education also lies in the fact that it implies learning to relate better, to become more human, more sensitive to others, to take them into account, and to be more empathetic. An educated person treats others delicately, someone with whom you feel comfortable.

If we think about it, the great international conflicts that we are experiencing at the moment, the more local events of violence, or all the incidences that we have with others on a day-to-day basis... deep down they are problems of education.

Teach us to think

But the importance of education is also that it teaches us to think. Learning to think implies drawing personal conclusions, forming one's criteria, being critical, and not letting ourselves be carried away by what "others" want us to think, by what is "politically correct", and by what everyone does... Education means opening new alternatives and new perspectives, new paths, new possibilities, look for different solutions...

To educate, to think, we need to know and have the knowledge, but also some rudimentary tools such as knowing how to read, write, and reason.

Education makes us freer

Finally, the importance of education is that it makes us freer, yes, freer, what a danger! Less dependent, more masters of our destiny...

Are we aware of the importance of education? What are our priorities as educators, as mothers and fathers?

If we knew the importance of education, we would take this new course differently.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
