So you're a legal adult, meaning you must be at least 18 years of age. I've noticed quite a bit of changes since turning 18 this June and I just wanted to share them with y'all. You might be able to relate to some of them, you might not, but these 5 struggles are some I've gone through since turning 18 years old. Enjoy!

1. People start treating you differently.

People start treating you differently, like you're suddenly...competent, because you were an oblivious little child up until the moment you turned that magical number 18. Girl/boy, bye. Stop basing maturity on a number. I've met older people who don't know how to act.

2. You're thrown into the unknown.

So many changes are happening. Sometimes you just want to avoid it all and be a carefree kid again. You're excited but at the same time, you kiiiinda don't know what to expect. It's cool though, you got this...I think. Whenever you get anxious about anything, just hide in the nearest bush. Jk, that probably isn't the best advice. Nah, do it though.

3. You're allowed to do more.

Woot woot. Jk. Maybe. You're allowed to experience and take part in a lot more things than you previously were. You're not allowed to do eeeverything, but you're definitely much freer.

4. You're entrusted with a lot more responsibility.

Okay, okay. You're telling me you want me to do this, this and this. Okay, I'm 18, not a superhuman thx. One at a time honey, one at a time.

5. You suddenly have to organize your thoughts and plans.

Next thing you know, you got a whole calendar and a separate planner to organize upcoming events, plans, interviews, deadlines and so on. You're getting old, or responsible, or just old.

6. You're independent.

I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T, do you know what means?! She got her own house, she got her own car. Two jobs, word hard, you a bad... Yeah. Maybe you don't have your own house, but you probably have a car by now. If you don't have a car, you might have a job and have other modes of transportation. It can be stressful but regardless, you independent and you have a lot more to take care of. So get it done, you beautiful independent lil thang, you.

7. Thinking everyone else has it all together and you just... don't.

Chances are, you probably aren't the only person in the world who doesn't have everything together. Chill out, seriously.

8. Watching people around you change dramatically the moment they turn 18.

I respect the effort but is that really what "adult-ing" looks like to you? Sorry, it's just funny and I'm just talking crap.

There you have it. Eight struggles you go through after turning eighteen. You might've gone through some, you've might've not. Leave a comment below on which struggles you relate to the most. Until next time!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
