When transitioning seasons, there is most likely a lot of change including weather, clothing, food, drinks, and much more. Personally, my favorite seasonal transition we are about to experience is from summer to autumn. Although it was marked Fall on the calendar already, it hasn't really felt like it here in Newark, Delaware. My favorite part about Fall is definitely the change in attire.

By the time we hit the month of October, I'm very ready to transform my closest and drawers. Hopefully the forecast isn't hitting the 80's anymore and little by little extends down into the mid 70s and so on. We go from jean shorts to jeans and tank tops to cute and comfortable knit sweaters. We also proceed to booties and long boots from sandals and flip flops. This is the most exciting part of Autumn for me and I'm sure most girls won't disagree with that as well. It's fun to go out and shop for new Fall clothing also. It's like a huge event for us girls to see who obtains the trendiest, cutest, and most comfortable sweaters. Additionally, when I look and feel good, I'm more studious and tend to pay more attention in my classes. When I look good, I usually feel good and this impacts my school progress. If you go by this saying in your school experience, I promise you that you will see fantastic results.

Of course the foods and drinks are second to the clothing. Some of my favorites are the apple cedar, pumpkin, pies, spices, and so much more. The occasional holiday drinks such as your typical pumpkin spice latte form Starbucks is only offered during the fall time and the UDairy Creamery also offers additional flavors to their normal list. These new flavors include Pecan Pumpkin Pancake, 1st State Cobbler, and Honey Apple Cake. Believe me, I highly recommend going to UDairy and trying them. I do my research since I'm a huge lover for all foods. As silly as it sounds, these little things make the school days here at Udel more bearable and results in better vibes overall across campus. This is very exciting especially for people like me because I'm very pro for a light and happy environment. It also makes it easier for better success and pushes me to keep going, having a more positive perspective on life as a whole.

I'm sure most people can relate to how I feel about Fall and the positive things that this season especially brings to us students. This is a time to make progress and thrive socially, academically, and feel healthy. Even if work is tough and you want to quit, now is a time to look at life with an optimistic attitude. Wear your favorite sweaters, light some fall candles, drink your hot pumpkin spice latte, and go get yourself some ice cream to get yourself in the spirit!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
